Hamza Ali Abbasi, also known as Pyaray Afzal, has officially joined the political Party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inssaf(PTI). He announced this decision in a speech at D-Chowk last night, where the top leadership of PTI and thousands of its supporters were also present.

Although, he had been supporting Imran Khan and his stance for quite some time, but just yesterday he announced to join the politics formally. He was given a warm welcome by PTI’s Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi who also shed some light on Hamza’s family background. Hamza then took the mic and made the speech which made it very clear that its just not another celebrity endorsement or attention seeking gimmick, but a serious business! as he wants to actively contribute to this nation and has put all his weight behind PTI.
Some critics are saying that he may lose his popularity by joining a certain political party, but Social Media Stats tell us the different story. A photo he shared from his fanpage has gone immensely viral. As you can see that the photo embedded below has received over 95,000 LIKES on it in just 11 hours or so, with thousands of comments and shares on it. We haven’t witnessed this much viral effect on the post of any celebrity in Pakistan.
